The Yahweh Shalom Prayer Group is part of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR), an Ecclesial movement of spiritual renewal and transformation in the Catholic Church that emphasizes the need for each one to make a personal commitment to Christ as Lord and Savior and to be empowered by the Holy Spirit for the glory of God the Father.

Charismatic Renewal has been active in Yankton for over 50 years.  We meet twice a month and have been offering Charismatic Conference for 47 years. Through these experiences hundreds of people have made a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. This experience changed their lives.  Love of scripture and prayer increased.  They have been empowered to became more involved in their local parishes by teaching CCD, Adult Education and studies, serving on Parish boards, helping with various roles for Mass and outreach to the community.  Their experience was life changing for them and all those they shared their story with.  All through the power of the Holy Spirit;
